PremiCote P75

PremiCote P75 is a plasticizer free 100% acrylic, single component, water based, premium quality jet black primer for spray, brush, or roller application.

Recommended Uses:

This product is intended for use as a general purpose primer. Excellent adhesion will be achieved over the following substrates: aged asphalt polyurethane foam, concrete, masonry, primed metal and wood. Material will improve yield in polyurethane foam applications and improve system adhesion to most substrates. Utilizing P75 in spray foam applications will improve SPF yield.

Product Limitations:

This coating is water-based and requires evaporation of the water in order to cure. Low temperatures and high humidity will slow this process. Do not apply this coating if there is any moisture on the substrate or there is any risk of precipitation or heavy dew before the material is completely cured. Material is not intended for ponded water applications. Applications where there is a risk of vapor drive, such as cold storage and refrigerated tank applications should only be made in conjunction with a suitable vapor barrier. This material is not intended for use as a thermal barrier.

General Properties:

This primer is has been formulated with specialty polymers and wetting agents to maximize adhesion to a variety of substrates including aged asphalt, wood, SPF and concrete (cured for a minimum of 30 days). PremiCote P75 has excellent cohesive properties to improve adhesion of complete system. Product is jet black for rapid solar gain of substrates. Is breathable, allowing the escape of any trapped moisture vapor from the substrate.

Material Handling:

Installers should read and understand all technical and informational literature on PremiCote P75, including the Safety Data Sheets, prior to using this product. PremiCote P75 is designed for installation by a professional application company. Caution should be exercised to prevent mishap due to improper handling. Proper Storage of Raw Materials:

Material storage temperatures should be 70°-85°F (21°-30°C) for several days prior to use and should not exceed 90°F (32°C). Cold materials can cause poor mixing, pump cavitations or other process problems due to higher viscosities at lower temperatures. Do not store where the containers will be exposed to rain, snow or high heat. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use and under dry air. Shelf life is twelve months from date of manufacture.
